LOT Of 6 Plates NIPPON Vintage 1930's Rare! Hand Painted THE JONROTH STUDIOS
These gorgeous antique plates were carefully hand painted at least 80 years ago by The Jonroth Studios. The plates were produced in Nippon/Japan some time in the 1930's. Considering their age, these are still in considerably good shape. There is some obvious wear to the paint but it only adds to their beauty in my opinion. There is some mild wear to the rim underneath on a couple of the plates (but it may be the way they were produced?), some fading of paint in certain spots, wearing off of some paint along the outer edge. No cracks.
Each plates measures just over 6 1/4" across.
The designs are upon a brown background that fades from light to dark. There are delicate wildflowers in blues, purples/reds, and some lovely green leaves on one of the plates. Around the rim are fine hand painted patterns/details. The backs all have their original stamps "HAND PAINTED THE JONROTH STUDIO
