Beautiful antique hand-painted portrait plaque on porcelain, marked Firenze on the back. Inscription reads “Neapolitaner nach Richter” indicating this is a finely done copy after Adrian Ludwig Richter (1803–1884).
The portrait features a young woman with dark curls wearing a white blouse and gold pendant necklace. The plaque is set in an ornate gilt gesso/plaster frame with intricate scrollwork. Back retains original wire stand.
Condition:
– Plaque is in very good shape with strong color and detail.
– Frame shows multiple chips, cracks, and repairs (see photos). Still displays well.
